Helping Kids Know and Follow Jesus

Grace Kids is dedicated to leading and teaching the next generation to believe biblically, love intentionally, and honor God with their whole heart, mind, and soul. Each week, we make the most of every moment—engaging children (birth through 5th grade) in fun, meaningful, and age-relevant ways that help them see how God views them and understand the difference Jesus can make in their lives.

Grace Kids Classes

Sundays

The following opportunities are offered every Sunday at our Middleburg campus during all three worship services (9:00, 10:30, 12:00), and at our Olmsted campus at the 10:00 service.

We want to help little ones experience the love of Jesus in a nurturing and safe environment. And, our goal is to encourage parents as they help their children take their first steps toward a relationship with Jesus. For our nursing mothers, we also have a room for you! During the 9am & 12pm service, we also have a space (room 116) where you can watch the worship service with your kids if you prefer a place where they can have more freedom to be active.

Our goal is for kids to form friendships with others and begin to understand key stories and themes in the Bible, understanding more about God’s plan for us and the world he created. We will also offer resources and encouragement for parents to invest spiritually in their children.

To provide avenues for kids to see the whole story of God in Scripture, especially through Bible knowledge and memorization. And, for them to build friendships with peers who can encourage them and teachers who can help them learn who God is and how he values and loves them. Children participate in a small group to discuss and apply what they’re learning. Each group is led by a trained adult volunteer.

Our goal is for kids to form friendships with other children during the week and begin to repeat key stories and themes in the Bible, understanding more about God’s plan for us and the world he created.

This fun and energetic time together is for them to build friendships with peers who can encourage them and teachers who can help them learn who God is and how he values and loves them. Here they’ll have fun each week as they learn about who God is through games, activities, small groups, music, and The Bible. They will also learn how to apply what they’re learning into their homes, neighborhoods, and schools. Each group is led by trained adult volunteers and high schoolers.

  Grace Kids FAQ

In Grace Kids, we use the “Gospel Project” curriculum. The Gospel Project presents three applications in each lesson: Gospel Story, Gospel Culture, and Gospel Mission. From the beginning to the end of the Bible, we will see God’s amazing plan to restore a relationship with the people he loves. We’ll learn more about who He is and how He can shape us and help us to grow into the people he wants us to be through his son, Jesus, who is woven throughout the whole story of the Bible.

Click on the map here to see each floor of the building. There are two Grace Kids welcome desks on the lower level and one on the main level near the worship center for babies – 2 year olds. Our Grace Kids team will welcome you and make sure your child is signed in for each class and personally show you to your child’s classroom. Once you are in our system, you can head to any of our computer stations and personally check in and print your own family’s name tags and claim tickets.

Safety is one of our highest priorities. That’s why we have a secure check-in system near each Welcome Desk. We’ll help get you registered the first time you visit. After that your check-in will be quick and easy, and you and your child (birth -5th grade) will receive matching identification stickers. Your child will need to wear their name tag sticker and you will need to keep the matching tag. After the service, you’ll show the Grace Kids leader your matching tag in order for your child to be released to you.

Every Grace Kids volunteer leader is interviewed, participates in a background check, and receives appropriate training from our staff. Additionally, our hallways are monitored by background-checked security during each experience to make sure your child stays safe and secure.

In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we can either send you a text message or display your child’s identification code on the screen in the auditorium.

We love this amazing opportunity to serve you and your family…so you can drop off your children at no cost!

Families who have a member who is cognitively impaired often struggle to find a church where they feel at home. With our Friendship Classes, your family can experience a sense of belonging, knowing that your church family cares about and understands your child’s particular needs. Our goal is for you to sense that your entire family is welcome at church, and to experience the joy of seeing your family member flourish. The specially-designed Friendship Class gives parents a chance to go to a worship service knowing their child is having time with new friends and learning about God’s Word.

Serve with Grace Kids

Serving with Grace Kids is one of the most meaningful ways to make a difference at Grace Church. Our children’s ministry is built on helping kids know Jesus, grow in their faith, and feel loved and safe each week. Whether you enjoy teaching, welcoming families, leading worship, or supporting behind the scenes, there’s a place for you to use your gifts. When you volunteer with Grace Kids, you invest in the next generation and help create an environment where kids can experience God’s love in real and lasting ways.

Family & Child Resources

There are a growing number of books, websites, and resources on the subject of children, parenting, and families claiming to be from a Christian or God-honoring perspective. Some align more closely with Grace Church’s Bible-based doctrine, beliefs and practices than others. We have also found that some resources are more helpful than others. As a result we have carefully selected the resources included in these pages. Inclusion in these pages, however, does not mean that we endorse or agree with everything in each resource.
