Counterfeit Jesus

In Matthew 27, Pilate presents the crowd with a choice between Jesus the Messiah and Jesus Barabbas. One is innocent. One is guilty. Yet the crowd chooses Barabbas.  

This message explores the deeper meaning behind that moment and what it reveals about our expectations of Jesus. While many hoped for a Savior who would fight for their freedom, Jesus came to bring freedom from sin through the sacrifice of the cross.
