Dear Grace Family,

I have been so encouraged to hear the testimonies of what God did in our midst during the 94 hrs of prayer and through Zach Meerkreeb’s ministry on Sunday. It’s such an honor to be able to know Him and watch Him work. Thanks for the way you leaned in with so much energy and expectation that God would move. He did! 

Vision Sunday

This Sunday, February 22 we’ll gather for Vision Sunday. I’m eager to preach this week about what God has been stirring in my heart, observing who God has created Grace Church to be and where we can celebrate His work over these last 70 years. We’ll also baptize 44 more people and celebrate God’s life changing power for these folks. And, for newcomers, Rachel and I will hang with you for Taste of Grace after each service in the Fireside room. What a day we’ll have! 

Vision Night (Annual Meeting)

Sunday evening will be our Vision Night (Annual Meeting) where I’ll walk through the highlights of 2025, unpack some of our focus areas, celebrate God’s faithfulness, give some nods to where we’re headed, and even spend a bit of time worshipping together. We’ll have a light meal at 5 p.m. in the Activity Center and move to the Worship Center at 6 p.m. for our meeting. 

Elder Elections & Voting

In addition, one important thing we’ll do Sunday night is elect 4 elders who will serve as key leaders in our church. I’ve included a video here that introduces all of the 9 who are up for election (4 of whom are eligible for re-election). This is a weighty responsibility so I ask you to pray for God’s will to be done and for Him to raise up the right men for this next season of Grace Church leadership. We’ll vote in-person Sunday night and, as a reminder, only members of Grace Church can vote.

As we approach this Sunday, I’ve been feeling reflective. Rachel and I are so grateful for how God has led us. It’s a humbling honor to even think about sharing about the vision and direction of Grace church and to build upon the faithful leadership of Jonathan and Donald Schaeffer. While we’re only 4 months in, it feels like we’ve been here longer, that’s largely because of your welcome. Thank you!
