September 19 2020 – Update from PJ + Mary
Unsettling. Disappointing. Frustrating. What are the words you would use to describe the tough parts of these last 6 months of crisis?
We’re starting a new message series this weekend, seeing how the Apostle Paul encourages us to put our faith in unshakeable things despite the uncertainties of life. The confidence expressed in the words of this persecutor-turned-preacher is remarkable considering his location. Writing from his jail cell, Paul reminds us of what matters most. I’m looking forward to exploring his words together!
Next week, churches throughout Cleveland are hosting a conference on the power
of forgiveness. Grace will be one of the hosts, and you’re invited to attend (it’s free) any or all of the evening sessions. One of our 10-year goals is to engage in community-wide outreach with churches in Northeast Ohio as a display of unity within the Body of Christ. Each evening will include dynamic keynote speakers, testimonies from local Clevelanders, teaching moments from local church leaders and inspiring musical performances. You can pre-register by simply texting HTL2020 to 55498. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for any further questions.
Mary and I share 3 things we’re grateful for in our video chat this week (she adds a 4th at the close!). It includes a few insider updates on things related to our church family.
Hope you have a great weekend!
