October 2 2020 – Update from PJ + Mary
We are excited about regathering for onsite Sunday services and would love to welcome you for…
• Worship at Middleburg Heights starting October 11, with services at 9 & 11 am (our last 11:30 Saturday service is tomorrow, October 3)
• Indoor Worship at Olmsted Falls starting October 25 at 10 am (Outdoor services here have been wonderful, but we are surrendering to the weather, with the last outdoor service being October 18th at 5pm).
We are grateful to be one church in two locations, with the same worship teams and message at both campuses, so you can attend whichever is most convenient for you. Our facilities are sanitized between every service with some fancy new equipment that we thank the Lord for. Attenders wear masks unless medically unable to do so. Youth groups are now meeting onsite, as are other small groups and classes. GraceKids is not starting onsite yet, but we hope to have an announcement in the next several weeks regarding those key ministries for children.
To enable social distancing, alternate rows are roped off and we’ll leave three empty seats between groups. We’ll hold off on shaking hands, hugging, etc., and will continue to provide a digital bulletin, connect card and notes. Most people are giving electronically now, and we also have secure boxes provided in the worship center.
We know that some have circumstances which make it unwise for you to gather in person; we welcome you to keep engaging online with our livestreamed services each Sunday at 9, 11, & 6 at facebook.com/gracecmachurch or http://live.gracecma.org/, or you can watch at your convenience at www.youtube.com/c/GraceCMAChurch. There are also online Adult Classes available.
Feel free to be in touch with us if you have a need we can help with, or if the church family can pray for you or come alongside you in some way. Just know that you are much-loved by our Heavenly Father and that we thank Him for you!
We are encouraged to pray for those in authority (1 Timothy 2:1-2) so today we pray for our President and his wife as they have been diagnosed with COVID: “Lord, we ask for your healing for President Trump and his wife, Melania, and for the safety of those who work with them. May your grace be evident in their lives; draw them closer to you during this trial. We look to you for our country and its leaders, trusting you as our ultimate King. In your mighty name we pray. Amen.”
Here’s a 6-minute message from Mary & me this week. We’re grateful for you!
Blessings on you today,
Pastor Jonathan Schaeffer
Senior Pastor, Grace Church
