November 15 – Update from PJ
If you’re attending service in-person, thanks for wearing a mask. We all know it’s an inconvenience, but it’s a proven way to slow the spread of the virus. A relatively small church in Ohio decided to forego masks in their public gatherings and had 18 people contract COVID-19 this week.
Thankfully, we’ve not had any known spread or transmission from any Grace activities or ministries. This doesn’t mean no one at Grace has had COVID-19…quite a few have. To our knowledge, not one person has been infected through a small or large group gathering at Grace. And we’d like to keep it that way!
Would you take a moment to pray for leaders in your community, state, and nation? They are navigating so many difficult decisions as virus numbers rise.
On that note, I want to say again how grateful I am for our Elder team at Grace. They have led so well during these unprecedented times and I’m grateful to serve alongside them. Elders have a key role in the leadership and care for our church family. They steward God’s resources (1 Timothy 3:5), live as an example for others to follow (1 Peter 3:5), work to ensure that we remain faithful to God’s Word (Titus 1:9), and lead us through prayer and the ministry of God’s word. (1 Timothy 3:2, Acts 6:4).
Today we get to dig into one of my life passages from God’s Word! Would you join me in asking the Lord to shape our hearts and minds so that we become the people that He wants us to be?
Giving thanks for you!
