Note from PJ – September 25

Hope your week is going well, especially after a big Browns’ win this weekend. For Cleveland sports fans, these have been some really fun weeks…for the most part :).

If you want more wins in your marriage relationship, consider joining us for the Reclaim conference on October 14-15 at Middleburg Heights. Dr. Juli Slattery is known for the insights from the Bible and psychology that she brings to this topic; over 500 people have already registered for the conference! It’s an opportunity for those who are engaged, newlyweds, in the midst of busyness with kids, or empty nesters to invest in their marriage.

Since Grace is hosting this event, anyone willing to volunteer will receive a 20% discount on their registration. Here is the link for volunteering (you can serve without attending the conference, too) and here is where to get your tickets.

A sincere thanks to each one of you for honoring the Lord with your giving; we’ve seen so many lives impacted this month, and are grateful for all who are partnering with us through their generosity. Here’s a summary for giving this year at Grace:

Grace Church giving Year-to-date (8/31/22)

Local Ministry 95% of budget

Global Ministry 86% of budget

Building Fund 93% of budget

The Israel tour scheduled for next April has just 10 more spaces remaining! Mary and I, along with Joel and Elin Bubna, would be so glad to have you join us in the early spring to experience firsthand where so many biblical events took place…from the Sea of Galilee to Jerusalem to Jericho. For more info on the trip itinerary and pricing, please contact Luann.

For each of the next two Sundays, we’ll be in a message called Deconstruction: When Faith Wavers. During these two weeks, we’ll examine how to assess your faith as a healthy part of your spiritual journey, and how to walk alongside others who are in this process. I hope you’ll be able to join us; feel free to invite a friend!

Grateful for you,

– Pastor Jonathan Schaeffer
