Note from PJ – October 15
Dear Friends,
In the last ten days, we celebrated 4 more people putting their trust in Jesus! Forgiveness, reconciliation, and an eternal destiny forever changed!
Jesus himself said that “there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.” Luke 15:10
When we put our trust in Jesus, he asks us to declare our faith publicly through baptism (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38).
We have a baptism service on Sunday, Nov. 13, at each of our campuses. Baptism gives us an opportunity to let others know of our commitment to Christ.
We’d love to celebrate this milestone with you!
Let me say again how grateful I am to be part of a church family known for generosity! I was just told that you contributed 151 coats for Love INC, plus scarves, mittens, and hats. A lot of people will be warmer this winter because of you!
We’ve also been able to send several vanloads of goods from Grace Church for Ukrainian refugee families. This collection is in partnership with Rise in Love. Watch this video to learn more.
If you’d like to donate, we’re still collecting clothing and home goods through the rest of the month of October. See the details here. You can also volunteer to greet families, and organize items for the distribution event: email Pastor KJ for more info.
A quick note about our Lost and Found shelf.
If you’re unaware, this is located on the lower level at our Middleburg Heights campus. If you or your family have missed (or forgotten) a few items at Grace over the year, please browse the shelf before November 1st. You might just rediscover your missing thermos, a child’s coat, or a journal of notes from a class you took at Grace!
I’ll be giving the second message this Sunday from our new series, SENT: Tracing God’s hand in the roadmap of your life. The worship team is prepared to lead us and we’ll celebrate the wonder of our salvation in communion together.
Mary and I are grateful for you!
– Pastor Jonathan Schaeffer
