Note from PJ – May 22
Jesus makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. –Ephesians 4:16
As I read Ephesians 4 today, I was encouraged by this description of a healthy church, and how I see this happening at Grace!
If you’re serving in some way, thank you!
And if you’re looking for a way to get involved, here are a few options this week (scroll down for even more in today’s bulletin!)
If you like to visit with people between services…
The Global Grounds Cafe at each of our campuses have been a great place for people to connect with others and build community. If you’d be willing to help staff the Cafe for any hour between 10:30-1:30 at Middleburg Heights, we’d love to have you as part of the Cafe team! To learn more, email Jill Cron for Middleburg (email@example.com) or Julie Clark for Olmsted Falls (firstname.lastname@example.org).
If you’re a Browns fan… and you care about how players are doing on and off the field, you should hear about the ministry of Robert & April Brooks! Through his career as a sports chaplain, Robert has an ongoing ministry to Browns players, and his wife April has joined him in loving on their families. You can learn more about how to join what God is doing through their ministry this Monday night at 7 PM in Global Grounds (Middleburg Heights campus).
The Bible encourages us (several times!) to “greet one another.” I love the 3-2-1 strategy one of our staff members suggests:
Each week at church…
Introduce yourself to 3 people you haven’t met yet.
Talk with 2 people you know.
Pray with 1 person in need about a concern they’ve shared.
Can you imagine the impact if every one of us did that?
This Sunday, during our worship time together, we’ll share the Lord’s Supper. In our Romans series, we’ll be talking about the reason we have to keep hoping for the prodigal people in our families or circle of friends.
Grateful to be following Jesus with you,
– Pastor Jonathan Schaeffer
