Note from PJ – December 19

Dear Friends,

As Christmas music rings out almost everywhere we go, we have a reminder.
We’re reminded that something incredibly significant occurred through the arrival of the One who took on human form…for us. As part of our worship this weekend, we celebrate what Jesus came to accomplish as we take the bread and the cup in Communion and sing favorite Christmas carols together. I’ll be giving the message, “Facing Life’s Challenges with Confidence.”

COVID-19 Update: With the high infection rates of late, just a friendly reminder that we have a mask-mandated section at both campuses. This is a section in the back of the Olmsted Falls worship center (handicap-accessible), and the right gallery/balcony section at Middleburg Heights worship center. Masks are optional in all other areas. And, if you’re compromised or not feeling well, please stay home and engage with us online.

Tonight (December 19) we’re showing “Christmas with the Chosen”FREE at Olmsted Falls campus! We’ll be watching it on the big LED screen at 7 PM. Whether you’ve been following the TV series or not, you’ll enjoy this storytelling of the birth of Christ through the eyes of Mary and Joseph. One person wrote: “I went to the theater today with friends. Two were new to following Jesus. During most of the Bethlehem part of the movie, we all had tears streaming down our cheeks. What a tender portrayal of the authentic, gritty, experience.” This is a great movie to invite a friend to! Mary and I will be there, and we hope to see you!

Finally, we’re so grateful for all that the Lord has done through our church family during 2021. When you pray, when you serve, and when you give, you participate in what God is doing in your church family, in your community, and the world. And we don’t want anyone to miss out on that! So if you’d like to join with what God is doing, by giving or serving, we’d love to talk! Call the church office this week, or visit for details.

Praying that we’ll “fix our eyes on Jesus” during these days (Hebrews 12:3),

– Pastor Jonathan
