Purpose. Passion. Positivity.
Our desire is that people may experience the loving presence of God, a deeper life in Christ, and become disciples who make disciples through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Team members serve 1-2 times a month. Members are selected via an application, audition, and an interview with the worship staff. Auditions are held 2x/year.
Camera operators, graphics control, sound technicians, technical directors, service directors, video directors, shader/remote camera operators, and lighting operators are all a vital part of our four worship services and livestream on Sundays. We’re always looking for tech-minded people to serve!
1-12th grade students are invited to audition to lead worship among their peers. In our Worship Academy program, students can learn how to play an instrument in group sessions with a worship focus.
If you love to sing with others, consider joining our worship choir. You’ll serve alongside the Sunday team once a month in the Middleburg Heights worship center.
Worship Academy is a course of classes in applied worship for students from 1st – 12th grade. In these group sessions, experienced Worship Academy teachers will share both the importance of musical craft and the heart of worship with their students. Classes take place at our Middleburg Heights Campus.

Winter / Spring Classes
Registration open until March 1st
Worship Academy will be offering group classes for students Grade 1 – Grade 12. We are looking for teachers for keyboard, acoustic guitar, vocals, electric guitar, and percussion. Instructors will be incorporating elements of musical technique and principles of worship in their teaching.
What experience is required for Worship Academy teachers?
We are looking for skilled musicians who are interested in passing on their passion for worship to our youth. Your willingness to incorporate both worship and technique into your lessons is the most important requirement.
When are the classes?
Classes will be offered once a week, on a weekday, after school and/or into the evenings. We’ll create a schedule tailored to your availability. Opportunities are available for weekly commitments, every other week or once a month commitments! Your class schedule will begin September 2018, and will remain consistent from there. Worship Academy has two semesters: September – December (break for Christmas) and February – May (break in January and Summer months).
I’ve never taught private music lessons or group classes before.
We’ll provide you with a flexible structure and setlist for your week-to-week classes. Based on the age range you desire to teach, you may modify and deliver a pre-determined curriculum. We’ll also give you teaching resources along with your Worship Academy curriculum. These materials will equip you with week-to-week goals, a progression of teaching concepts, and a general protocol for situations like cancellations, administrative issues, etc.
I want to teach, but I can’t make the weekly time commitment.
We have team-teaching options available, based on interest. In team-teach situations, teachers will take on one class and trade-off teaching independently. You will still report back to the Worship Academy director each week, who will then communicate with the rest of your teaching team from week to week. If you’re interested in this option, we’ll connect you to your co-teacher(s) and we can take the Worship Academy curriculum and craft a lesson-plan together to keep your class cohesive for your students.
Is this strictly a volunteer position?
Worship Academy instructors are all volunteers, however, we still need a commitment from our teachers to keep their chosen commitment. Please communicate your availability upon sign-up, and we’ll create a class schedule that works for you.
