Take A Break

One Saturday each month from 5:00-8:00pm
Middleburg Heights Campus- Activity Center 

For children, teens and adults ages 6 and over with disabilities.

The Special Needs Ministry offers a special outreach called Take A Break, which is a respite event for the families of a child or adult with cognitive and physical disabilities. Most families find it very difficult to get out for even one evening to enjoy themselves. Take A Break provides 3 hours of free time for families to do whatever they want – whether taking in a movie, going shopping, or going out to dinner – providing these families with a way to rejuvenate and recharge their batteries. This is a free program, but a preliminary visit and registration is required in advance. For more information or to volunteer contact Linda Denson.

Friendship Class

Often times when families have a member who is cognitively impaired, they struggle to find a church where they feel at home.  With our Friendship classes, your family can experience a sense of belonging, knowing that your church family cares about and understands your child’s particular needs; a feeling of acceptance – that your entire family is welcome at church; and the joy of seeing your loved one flourish.It gives parents a chance to go to service knowing their child is having fellowship with new friends and learning about God’s word.
