July 11, 2021 Note from PJ
There’s a scene in Jesus’ life that says so much about his heart.
Jesus is holding a child in his arms, and he says, “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me” (MARK 9:36-37).
Showing kindness to a young person = showing kindness to Jesus. That’s remarkable, isn’t it? This is one of the reasons why we continue to invest in Grace KiDS and YOUTH.
Beulah on the Road
In the past two weeks, 250+ kids shared laughter, games, lessons, music, and more at Beulah on the Road at our two campuses. 20+ kids put their trust in Jesus for the first time during camp!
Garden City Youth Retreat
Meanwhile, this week in South Carolina, 100+ students and adults are at our Garden City Youth retreat. One pastor shared, “last night was the most electric first night of camp I’ve ever experienced. Walls were broken down, breakthroughs, confession and repentance, first time experiences, as well as emotional and spiritual healing. We’re praising God for all of that…” Continue to pray for additional breakthroughs!
“We know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love” (ROMANS 5:5).
Lord, help us to live into that truth this weekend.
– Pastor Jonathan Schaeffer
