Deaf Teen Quest Chocolate Candy Fundraiser
February 5 at 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Did you know there are an estimated 2,430 school-age children who are deaf or hard of hearing in Ohio? And 90-95% of families with deaf children do not know sign language.
This lack of language access in their homes and schools contributes to this staggering number: just 2% of deaf worldwide know the good news of Jesus Christ.
You may already know that we have a Deaf Church that meets at Grace, but you may not have heard about what’s happening here for teens. Deaf Teen Quest is a ministry of Youth for Christ that invites teens to access their language and communicate with their peers in a place of fun, friendship, and faith.
There are several ways that you can partner with this ministry, through volunteering, being an ambassador, and becoming a financial partner, but today, we’re doing a simple chocolate candy fundraiser for them. You can stop by the lobby table today, chat about the ministry, and purchase chocolates to send youth to camp this summer!!
