Emotional Health Practices, Annual Meeting and Serve Opportunities
We all want to grow during this time of crisis, taking steps to become the people Jesus wants us to be. In our video message this week, Mary and I talk about 4 habits we practice to foster growth in our lives. We’d be glad to hear what’s helping you on that journey as well. Click here to see our 9-minute message this week.
Our Annual Meeting is this Tuesday, May 19, 7pm. Just click on this link to join us and enter password: 902377. We can have up to 1,000 participants! The Nominating Committee made our election difficult by coming up with a wonderful slate of Elder nominees; you can get to know them here.
Other items for this week with easy links to connect you:
• We’re back to the Book of Revelation this weekend in our worship services. And Friday evening at 7pm, Tom Sefik had the final message in the series, “Faith and Our Future.” Anyone can participate in our online services at facebook.com/gracecmachurch or http://live.gracecma.org/.
• The new Ladies Latte message shows how we can be known for life-giving words.
• Many of our ministries have gone online. You can connect and be encouraged with others from Grace Kids, Students, Young Adults, and Men’s and Women’s ministries. Explore all the Facebook groups here. Ministry leaders are posting videos and resources for you to continue to grow in your faith and walk alongside others.
• If you’re looking for a way to make an impact, check out a few serve opportunities here. Two cool updates, among many: Grace volunteers provided well over 600 meals just this week in partnership with the City Life Center. It has been a “win” for all involved! Another project includes Grace volunteers gathering items for residents at area nursing homes: puzzles, games, prize items, easy Word Search books, and more. One Activities Director called this week and said “it felt like Christmas morning!” So grateful for how people are demonstrating the love of Jesus in practical ways.
Glad to be on the journey with you!
