December 12 2020 – Note from PJ
Have you found, like I have, that Christmas carols are a gift in this season of turmoil and uncertainty? Like the line that says, “The hopes and fears of all the years are met in Thee tonight.” What a gift to know Jesus, and be loved by Jesus, in these days.
We’re having a “Christmas special” tomorrow, with favorite carols, four testimonies, advent reading, and more. You can join us onsite at 9 or 11 am at Middleburg Heights, or 10 am at Olmsted Falls, or online at live.gracecma.org, YouTube or Facebook.
For those who have elementary-age kids, just a reminder that we have a Family Service at both campuses (you can register here). One parent wrote this week:
Thank you, again, so much for such a special, fun, accommodating family-friendly service this morning. Our kids have been feeling the effects of disappointments and changes, but this was the perfect way for our family to get out, feel safe, see familiar faces, and worship Jesus together. You guys did an awesome job, and our oldest said on the ride home, “that was the BEST church service I ever had!”. 5-Star review from our kids. Keep doing what you do, Grace Kids!!
Thanks again for making an impact with your giving. Just one example: An Alliance team in Beirut, Lebanon, is assisting victims of the massive explosion that rocked the city in August (see the update here). The $51,400 that came from Grace Church is assuring families they “are not alone.” If you’d like to make a gift to local or global ministry, you can do so here.
We’re looking forward to Christmas Eve in just 13 days! Services will all include candle-lighting by the congregation:
Middleburg Heights: 3, 5, 7 pm
Olmsted Falls: 5 pm
Online: 3, 5, 7 PM
Hope you have a great weekend!
Pastor Jonathan Schaeffer
Senior Pastor, Grace Church
