We are so excited for the opportunity to serve in our city!
The heart of this trip and the Urban Outreach Ministry here at Grace is to exist to respond to needs by engaging in kingdom partnership with local urban ministries.
On this Cleveland Mission Trip, our local ministry partner will be Laura’s Home, the part of The City Mission that seeks to serve mothers and their children. Laura’s Home states “we are a bridge from crisis to stability and self-sufficiency.”
Our team is made up of seven people who sense God is calling them to put their faith into action in an urban setting. We all have varied levels of experience and have been meeting together to help ourselves be better prepared and to be open to what God is wanting to do through us and our unique stories.
Our team values are: serve humbly, learn well from ministry leaders, be flexible and open to new things, unity above preference, and be joyful! We hope to yield to the expertise of the leadership at Laura’s Home and learn lots about practically loving others.
Check out this blog during our trip (Nov. 1-3rd) for updates during the trip as well as when our report to the church will be! Please keep us in your prayers this week and weekend of the trip!
Glory be to the Lord! Let Him use our hands and feet for His glory!
