A Note from PJ
Hi friend–
Lots of highlights this past week, including the Halftime outreach with several Browns players this past Monday evening. One guy wrote, “The players were very transparent and humble. I was encouraged and refreshed. I invited a friend; he loved it and they gave an invitation to accept Jesus. A true blessing!”
And the Baptisms on Sunday! Wow…we were so moved by the testimonies, which you can see here. And, several more guys were baptized a few weeks ago at Lorain Correctional with eleven more getting baptized there next week! Plus, permission was granted by the Warden for a new initiative called Transformation Tables, small groups focused on character and leadership growth.
By the way, there are several paid openings at Lorain Correctional right now (part time Librarian, Program Facilitators, and Chaplain); you can get more information by contacting ihcn.ohio@
When we think of the Lord’s gracious activity here and around the world, the words of Psalm 40 come to mind: “Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done…were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.” He is so good, isn’t he? We have many reasons for gratitude this Thanksgiving.
Our onsite attendance continues to grow on Sundays. If you attend Middleburg and are able to join Mary and me by parking in the lowest lot behind our facility, that will be a big kindness to elderly folks and others who have a harder time navigating the steps. Also, we’ll start shuttling from the lowest lot on Dec. 4th for easier access to the building. Thanks much!
We’ll celebrate communion in each of our worship services tomorrow and I’ll be speaking on “Why Integrity Matters.” Hope you’ll be able to join us!
Blessings on your day,
Jonathan
