A Note from PJ

Hi friend!

What a weekend we had at Grace…wow! We’re giving thanks for the many ways the Lord was at work, from our Good Friday service at Olmsted campus to the final Easter service on Monday at Lorain Correctional. In all, 898 people signed a cross at our three campuses, indicating some kind of decision to trust and follow Jesus! Isn’t that amazing? Also, we began three Alpha courses this week (Middleburg, Online and Lorain) and had a total of 89 people attend. If you or someone you know is interested, you could still jump in this week. So grateful for how the Spirit is at work!

We thought it would be cool to have those crosses on display in the lobbies this week; you’ll see them on Sunday. What a gift Jesus has given us: “Rejoice that your names are written in heaven!” Luke 10:20  If that is true of you–your name is written in Heaven–feel free to also sign one of the crosses.

I’m super thankful for the many ways our church family volunteered over the weekend! Thank you for inviting friends, welcoming people, building the crosses, serving in GraceKids, singing in the choir, and much more. Such big impact!

One person wrote this on a newcomer survey:

“Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, which definitely helped soften the shock of how big the church is! I loved being treated as if I was a familiar face from the second I approached the doors.”

Our new series, “Asking for a friend,” begins this Sunday. The top vote-getter in our services this past Sunday:

Questions about death: burial vs. cremation, pets in heaven, and who will I recognize in the afterlife?

I look forward to addressing those questions.

Hope you can join us, and feel free to invite a friend to join you!

Love from our home to yours,

Jonathan
