A Note from Jonathan – May 10

A Note from PJ

Hi friend–

A person once said that life is like the two rails of a track: there are always reasons for thanks and celebration, and at the same time reasons for heartache and pain. It’s not one or the other, but both…simultaneously. So how do we process the hard things that God allows in our lives? That’s the theme I’ll address this Sunday as we continue our series, “Asking For a Friend.”

As part of our Mother’s Day Sunday, we’ll have a photo booth at both our Olmsted and Middleburg campuses.  This weekend is a great opportunity to invite the important women in your life to join you at church and then spend time, either before or after the service, doing something fun together.

This week we’ll be having memorial services for two women who have been an encouragement in my life. You’re welcome to join the service for Phyllis Calvis tomorrow at 11 am (visitation at 10) or for Marvel Baehr this Saturday at 1:30 pm. Both are at Grace Middleburg.

This coming Tuesday, May 16, 7pm, is our Annual Meeting where we’ll share highlights from this past year and take a look ahead at the coming months. I’ve been so encouraged once again to step back and see the big picture of what Jesus is doing in and through our church family! If you can’t join us in person, the meeting will be live-streamed at live.gracecma.org. Also, we’ll have childcare for birth-5 yrs old; limited space is available, and you can register for that here:

Glad to be teamed together!
