A Note from PJ
Hi friend–
Our church family recently read through Matthew’s account of Jesus’ life, and I was reminded again how Matthew bookends his gospel with promises of Jesus’ constant presence with us. Chapter 1 includes it in the name given to Jesus: “they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God with us'” (Matthew 1:23). And the gospel ends with this amazing promise from Jesus: “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).
Let that sink in for a moment; read those verses again. Isn’t that an incredible privilege for us, to know that today–and every day–we are never alone? Whatever we do, wherever we go…all day long, Jesus is with us. So, how do I welcome his presence? What kind of followers and worshipers does he want us to be? That’s what we’ll be diving into tomorrow as we continue our current series.
Just a reminder that Easter is in 2 weeks! You can start the week with our Easter Prayer Experience, an interactive experience reflecting on the last seven sayings Jesus spoke before he died for us on the cross. The self-guided journey takes 15-30 minutes and includes several large pieces of art, prayer prompts, music, and interactive prayer stations that offer the opportunity to engage your senses, your story, and your creativity in a meaningful time of prayer. The display will be open Tuesday, April 4th through Saturday, April 8th, from 9am-8:30pm.
At 7pm on April 7, our Good Friday Service at the Olmsted Falls campus includes a time of worship, communion, and remembrance, reflecting on Jesus’ journey to the cross, and his sacrificial love for you.
Our Easter Services will celebrate Jesus’ victory over the grave and the freedom that he purchased for you. All services have the same uplifting worship, a gospel message, and invitation to new life.
Saturday: 5pm at Middleburg Heights
Sunday: 10 am at Olmsted Falls
9, 10:30, 12 at Middleburg Heights
Grace Kids has opportunities for people to make an impact at both campuses during Easter. To volunteer in our Birth – Kindergarten classes or to greet new families at our Welcome Desks, you can sign up here: https://bit.ly/GKEaster.
Glad we can know this for sure today: Jesus is with us…right now! He loves us, guides us, forgives us, and empowers us. What a Savior!
