responding to needs by engaging in kingdom partnership with Cleveland ministries
Grace Church has a vision to be a part of regional reconciliation, both within Grace Church and within the greater Cleveland community of believers. The words of 2 Corinthians 5:11-21 charge the church and believers to be agents of reconciliation and Christ’s ambassadors! We press into this through discussion-based classes at Grace, such as Unify, Counter Culture and Koinos. We press into this regionally by being involved in the Cleveland Christian Community Development Network, partnering in regional events (such as worship nights, Heal the Land: A Regional Forgiveness Event, etc.) and with Outreach Partners and other churches in ministry all around Cleveland.
We have also put together a collection of resources, videos, and articles focused on the topic of racial equality.
Cleveland Mission Trip
The biannual Cleveland Mission Trip is a staple in your Grace Church serving experience! Teaming up with nearby Cleveland Outreach Partner organizations, our teams get an immersive ministry experience right in our backyard, Friday evening-Sunday afternoon. The Cleveland Mission trip functions as a great “toe in the water” experience and is also a great opportunity to go deeper in learning and understanding for those who are more seasoned servers. But it’s more than just a weekend of serving– it’s full of educational and Biblical training, learning, sweet community formation, kingdom connections and unity as we all cross barriers together, like Paul lays out in Ephesians 2. Mark 12:28-34 makes clear that our love and devotion to Christ should and does push us to better love and serve our neighbors. We look forward to growing with you in this way!
The trip requires staying on site with the team and the cost covers housing, food, and transportation for the weekend. Scholarships are available as well, as we want this opportunity to be accessible for all (please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information).
Regardless of where you are in your serving journey, we want to invite you to take the weekend plunge! Dive into serving in our backyard! Join us as we seek God’s heart for the city together!
