About Small Groups

Small Groups are a great way for individuals to connect and do life with others as followers of Jesus! These in-home fellowships of 8-12 people are led by trained leaders and hosts and typically last 1 1/2 to 2 hours. We believe that community is the essence of loving, growing, and serving one another.  By searching and studying scripture together in small groups, we simultaneously fulfill both the Great Commission (Mark 16:15) and the Greatest Commandments (Mark 12:30-31) and build a network of godly fellowship.

Our vision at Grace Church is to see individuals plugged into thriving communities where they can grow with others as followers of Jesus.

The goal is to grow in one’s relationship with the Lord, and to do so with a group of friends that can “do life” together.  Small Groups are a great place to discuss how to practically apply God’s Word to our lives and to care for one another.

+ Sermon Based Strategy

All too often, Christians are overfed and under-exercised.  By discussing the weekend message in a sermon-based small group community, we will seek to live out our biblical intake.  Through prayer, encouragement, accountability, and service, we’ll be healthier individually and as a church body. This will naturally encourage greater participation in the life of the Church.

Encourage individuals to actively and engagingly be purposeful about their calling and service. We strive to:

+ Meet (Love)

Be Intentional about Our Time Together.

  1. Experience God’s love and community. (1 John 4:7-11, Acts 2:42-47)

  2. Become burden-bearing neighbors who love each other as we love God.

  3. Engage in life change.

+ Minister (Grow)

Shepherd the People.

  1. Share in and care for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each other.

  2. Trust in the Holy Spirit’s power to minister to the hearts of His people.

+ Mature (Serve)

Allow Scripture to Transform Us.

  1. Search scripture and allow it to search us by applying it daily.

  2. Go deeper, close the “back door,” and dare to reach the unchurched.

  3. Take action steps to improve the local church and sow into others.
