I Samuel (Part 2): Kings & Generals, Fugitives & Friends

Room 20
By: Dale Arnold

The second half of I Samuel focuses on two characters:  Israel’s first king, Saul, and Israel’s most renowned king, David.  Each of these men were selected by God for distinct purposes, called from humble circumstances to elevated positions of influence and power, but each responded in drastically different manners.  Woven throughout their roles in the nation, their interactions with one another and their response to God’s call on their lives are lessons for us today of God’s sovereignty, His faithfulness, and His plans for our good and God’s glory.  Join us as we explore the intersection of historical narrative of Israel and contemporary application for us.
