Linda Denson has led the Special Needs ministry at Grace Church since 2016. She organizes events including the weekly Friendship class on Sundays and the monthly event Take a Break, which gives caregivers a night off while their kids enjoy a fun evening of activities.

Linda was born in West Virginia, and she grew up in Uniontown and Hartville, Ohio. Linda and her husband Lorenzo have called Berea home for the last 28 years. Linda gave her heart to Christ in 1976, despite her family's disapproval, and she's never regretted her decision. Elfriede Schaeffer was a profound encouragement to her to follow Jesus.

In addition to encouraging families who are raising children with special needs, Linda also assists churches that are beginning special needs programs of their own. Linda loves the excitement families have when they see their child connecting with others and learning about Jesus. She also enjoys teaching and singing to younger children and watching them grow developmentally.

Getting outdoors (camping, gardening, visits to the beach), and time with family are a few ways Linda likes to spend her free time. Linda and her husband Lorenzo have been married for 32 years, and together they've raised 3 boys (now adults) and a cute little dog named Baci.  At home, you might find Linda outdoors, growing tomatoes, or inside turning them into a sauce!

Linda holds a degrees from Kent State University in Education for Hearing Impaired, working with mentally and physically challenged individuals, as well as a certificate in early childhood education for special needs children from 18 months - 3 years old.
