joe-dixonDeaf Church Pastor | email

Joe Dixon and his family are from Columbia, TN which is only 45 minutes south of Nashville. Joe went to college at Samford University in Birmingham, AL and got his Degree in English. While there, he spent his college years working with Samford's preaching ministry by traveling to area Baptist churches in the state every Sunday to preach. Upon Graduating, Joe went on to get his Masters in Counseling Psychology from Lipscomb University. There he met his wife who was also in the same Master's program. The two of them got married a year after having met and then graduated from Lipscomb together a year later in 2009. In 2010, Joe was asked to serve as the Pastor in Residence for the Brentwood Baptist Deaf Church In Nashville. After spending three years there in training, Joe began traveling once a month to a Deaf church in Bowling Green, KY and other Deaf churches in TN, KY,GA, and VA to preach. Joe has also worked bi-vocationally as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the state of Tennessee.

Joe was born Deaf and Communicates with ASL and lipreading. He and his wife have a beautiful two year old girl with one baby on the way, due in July of 2014. We're so glad they've come to Cleveland as the pastoral couple for the new deaf church at Grace, and look forward to seeing all that the Lord accomplishes in these months and years to come!
