John Chae

CheaIs married to Linda and they and their two sons have been attending Grace since 1996. They are grateful for how their family has grown closer to Jesus while here at Grace. John's passion is evangelism and discipleship. He has served on the Elder Board for 12 years. He and Linda serve in our Prayer Ministry and periodically at Bongolo Hospital as short-term missionaries. John is a physician at Metro Health Systems and is on the faculty at Case Western Reserve University. He has initiated the ministries of the Christian Medical & Dental Association & the Christian Faculty Fellowship within his workplace. John states " My desire is to see the Great Commission fulfilled in the medical and scientific communities of Northeast Ohio and to see men develop into spiritual leaders in their homes and impact their professional spheres of influence for Christ."


DJ Eidson

dj-eidsonDJ Eidson and Jessica have attended Grace since 2003. DJ is a District Sales Manager for Kowa Pharmaceuticals and is a 4th - 6th grade boys basketball coach and mentor, helping students through 12th grade. This opportunity allows DJ to teach "transferable skills" such as hard work, follow-up, team work, and integrity. DJ says, "These are the skills that I have learned as I study Jesus' teachings." DJ was baptized in 2004, and they have dedicated their 3 children to the Lord. DJ states, "I have grown as a Christian under Pastor Jonathan's leadership as he consistently models and teaches Christian values helping me to be a better Christian man, father, husband, and leader."


Mark Fender

FenderIs married to llona and they have 3 adult children and 1 grandchild. He is a Deputy Chief for a local police department. Currently, Mark serves as the men's discipleship ministry leader and facilitates several small groups: Men's Discipleship, Men's Fraternity table, and a couples' group. His passion is sharing Jesus Christ and investing in men's lives, empowering them to know and follow Jesus as Lord and King and teaching them to disciple others.


Tom Gimper

gimperHas been married to Patti for 33 years and they have been at Grace since 2002. Tom is a consultant with Capitol Investments, and 360 Merchant Solutions. He serves as Director of Sports Ministry, leads Grace's softball ministry, co-leads Men's Fraternity, and has initiated "Go Deep with the Browns." He and Patti enjoy growing with others in a Life Group. Tom serves on the leadership team of an inner city ministry bringing needed resources to many in need. "We are blessed to bless others. Seeing Grace's growth and life transformation taking place through evangelism and discipleship excites me."


Josh Grusendorf

GrusendorfJosh and Kim Grusendorf were married at Grace in 2006 and have 2 sons, Tyler & Zachary. Josh came to Grace while in high school. He is a Detective for the Medina Police Department and has been in law enforcement for 12.5 years. He and Kim are involved in our Marriage Ministry and lead the Young Married Connection on Wednesdays. Josh also serves in our Sports Ministry as team chaplain. Josh states, “Grace is where our family has grown, where our kids accepted Christ, and where our friendships were born. We look forward to many more years here, serving our wonderful Savior in whatever way He calls.”


Cliff Kime

Kimeis married to Lisa; they have been at Grace for more than 8 years. Cliff is a retired police officer with the Cleveland Police Department, ending his career in the US Marshal’s Violent Fugitive Task Force. He teaches spin classes in Strongsville and North Olmsted. At Grace, Cliff is a bass guitarist on our Worship team and leads a men’s home study. He has served with PCL, the Car Cruise In, We Care missions trips, and Making Peace. Cliff says “Grace has brought me into relationship with Jesus, changing me and bringing me in line with God’s will. I’m grateful to be moving forward and have a strong passion for Men’s Ministry and look forward to God using me powerfully in the future.


Richard King

KingRichard King is married to Fern; they have 5 daughters and have attended Grace for 9 years. Richard is retired from Alcoa Forgings & Extrusions. While there, he started a tutoring ministry with Grace to inner-city students. Richard also serves with Men’s Fraternity. He and Fern are involved in our Prayer, Meals, Welcome, and Adult Class ministries. Richard states his passion is “to help those in need…physically or spiritually, and to be salt and light in our world (Matt. 5:13-16). There are also many opportunities outside Grace to attract others to Christ, sometimes taking us out of our comfort zone.” 


Lance Mayer

MayerLance Mayer is married to Karyn; they have 2 grown children. Lance is employed by OxyChem in PVC as a chemical engineer/scientist. At Grace, he and Karen are involved in supporting our missionary prayer teams in praying for Keir and Joanna Thelander, Andy and Michelle Svoboda, and Drew and Michele Brown. Lance is also actively involved in our Friendship class serving one-on-one with students. Lance states, “My family and I started attending Grace 27 years ago, instantly falling in love with it then, just as so many people do now. It was a big church then, and it is many times larger now, making it even more important for each of us to be linked in and accountable to the body.”


Alan Micklewright

al-micklewrightAlan Micklewright has been married to Patti for 28 years and they have 2 grown children. Alan is currently employed at the NASA Glenn Research Center as the Chief of Aircraft Operations. Alan and Patti lead our Grace for LIFE ministry and have taught several adult classes. Together they are involved as a host family with International Friends and also enjoy sponsoring 3 children with Compassion International.


Josh Palcic

Palcicis married to Jennifer. They were married in 2002 and have 3 children. Josh has been employed as a physical therapist for 8 years at The Achievement Centers for Children working with children. At Grace he has led Financial Peace University. He and Jen have been Senior High advisors and table leaders in our Marriage Ministry. They look forward to serving with Young Married Connection. Josh says, “From the moment we entered Grace, we felt at home because of the commitment to serving and caring for people. We have grown through the classes we have taken and through opportunities for involvement.”


Mike Rush

mike-rushMike Rush and Debbie have been at Grace for 35 years and are Co-Founders and Executive Directors of Options for Families and Youth (OFY), providing services in foster care, adoption, Help Me Grow and behavioral healthcare (counseling). They consider their agency a ministry to the poor, disadvantaged, abused and neglected children of Cuyahoga County. At Grace, Mike teaches adult classes, participates in Men's Fraternity, and has a passion for missions, having participated in 7 short-term trips. Mike and Debbie serve in our Prayer Team ministry. Speaking of Grace, Mike says, "Through the years, Jesus Christ has always been the central focus. Pastors Donald and Jonathan have helped us grow spiritually, given us a place to love and support other believers, and provided us opportunities to pray for others and show God's love to our family and non-believers."


Bill White

bill-whiteBill White and Alicia have attended Grace Church since 1984. Bill accepted Christ that year and has been continually involved in various ministries since that time. Bill retired in 2003 after a long career as a project and engineering manager with Union Carbide and BP Oil. Bill co-managed the lower level parking lot expansion in 2010 and the Atrium level build-out in 2011. Bill has served as an Elder for 2 terms. He oversees our Appliance and Furniture Donation Ministry, and participates in our Mission Trip Program and Prayer Team ministry. Bill says, "My fervent hope is to see Grace Church continue to grow and be a bright light for the Gospel in this community resulting in many more souls being saved through trusting Christ as Savior."
